Mom & Dad's great-looking new house on Whidbey Island, WA. Had a nice week-long trip last week. What a beautiful island--lots of trees and places to go as well--even saw a bald eagle from their backyard! I highly recommend checking it out, but unless you like driving (15 hrs. from my house), I'd take a flight to Seattle. ;-) Enjoying my last week before work starts again, Jocelyn

On the drive home from SB, I detoured to Cannery Row, Monterey. These are some tourists feeding the seagulls (Mine! Mine! Mine!). FYI, you can click on any picture to enlarge it.
Lunch: crab-stuffed prawns over a bed of risotto & asparagus--yummy!
The Fish Hopper in Monterey overlooking the bay. Beautiful day; took the 152 (fun, winding road) back to the 101 & still got home by 4:30. What a great trip! Happy first birthday, Maya!!

The French Festival in Oak Park, SB. There were accordions, singers, and Can-Can dancers. Oops--this click of Jason & Jen was a bit late.
Jason's more concerned about his French beer than his head. Oui, oui! Tres bien!
The guillotine, named after the man who designed it, only caught my hat in the basket. Ooh la la!
