On the drive home from SB, I detoured to Cannery Row, Monterey. These are some tourists feeding the seagulls (Mine! Mine! Mine!). FYI, you can click on any picture to enlarge it.
Lunch: crab-stuffed prawns over a bed of risotto & asparagus--yummy!
The Fish Hopper in Monterey overlooking the bay. Beautiful day; took the 152 (fun, winding road) back to the 101 & still got home by 4:30. What a great trip! Happy first birthday, Maya!!

Jen, Oso, and I had a day at Henry's (?) beach in SB.
Not a lot of surf, but Jen caught a few waves bodysurfing.

The French Festival in Oak Park, SB. There were accordions, singers, and Can-Can dancers. Oops--this click of Jason & Jen was a bit late.
Jason's more concerned about his French beer than his head. Oui, oui! Tres bien!
The guillotine, named after the man who designed it, only caught my hat in the basket. Ooh la la!

We came across a truck full of ten black lab puppies--cuties!

Lake Tahoe, July, 2007

Just got back from a few days in Lake Tahoe with Nancy, Brent, and Madelyn. Didn't get any really good pics, but I did manage to get some of their bathroom--it's a steam room shower w/overhead and two other shower heads. It's the bomb! Now, that's my new savings project (Brent said I should do that first before the floors).

I did get a pic of Nancy, me, and Lisa Exley Smith--just a couple more months until she's due (I think it's a girl!)--at the River Grill in Tahoe City. (That was before the Blue Agave and Pete & Peters later that evening.) Fun hike in Sugar Pine today before I drove home. Great to see you all, and especially to get to know Maddie a little better! It was great to be in the Sierras for some good ol' R&R.

Also, I've joined Parkpoint Health Club in Hbg., and I've been swimming almost every day I'm in town. See you at the pool!

Maya

My beloved niece is trying to get that entire thing into her mouth. Have you ever seen such a happy girl trying to eat a rock?
