Labor Day

Just got back from wine tasting with Wendy & Bob. Can you guess what grape varietal this is? Hint: these are on Unti's lane.

We had a great time: went to Dry Creek Valley's Armida (man, that place is consistently good--try their Maple Zin!), Unti (nice Sangiovese & Syrah), and Mauritson. Then, we went to HBG for lunch, and on to Alexander Valley's Hanna and Stryker to end the day.

Sunday August 10 in Tahoe...concert on the beach. It was really hard to leave & make the drive home afterward--especially since I had to go back to work the next day. What a great time hanging out with everyone!

It was about 90 degrees in Seattle this last day. We were at a restaurant that overlooked the lake (Lake Union?) just north of the city. Maya kept eating olives.
